Hasanni Campbell

We understand that there is a lot of speculation out there due to misconceptions about our family and the environment Hasanni was living in but to us he is a son, a brother, a family member and so much more and not just a foster child

This site is for our son so that people can see him for what he was, a child who is an integral part of our home and our hearts.

Born on September 24, 2003, the first few of years of his life were not the most ideal but that withstanding there is a potential in him that many overlook because of a lack of understanding about his condition. Diagnosed with Cognitive Delays and Cerebral Palsy, an unbrella term used to describe a disease that affects a person's motor skills, Hasanni is not unlike any other child. Some of his favorite things are SpongeBob, Spiderman, playing in the little pool we have set up in the backyard, and being read to. Hasanni loves the water. He would always ask, is it going to rain today? or Is that the beach as we drove home?

If you saw him you would most likely think of him as a child small for his age that would seem talkative or quiet depending on his mood at that time.

The past few months during summer break Hasanni was learning to write his ABC's and his name for the first time by himself. He was developing a relationship with his younger sister and learning what it meant to be a big brother, and by all accounts thriving and blossoming into a fine young man.

So as his parents, family, and the extended community that knew him we ask that you join us in our efforts to bring our son home.

Thank you
